- Project Scientist-I: M.Sc Degree in Agricultural Meteorological/Agricultural Physics, B.E / B.Tech, Degree from a recognized university.
- Research Associate: Ph.D., MS or equivalent Degree in Agricultural Meteorology/Agricultural Physics/Agricultural Statistics, M.E / M.Tech from a recognized university.
- Senior Research Fellow & Junior Research Fellow: Master's Degree, M.Sc in Agricultural Meteorological/Agricultural Physics, Computer Sciences from a recognized university.
Age Limit:
- Project Scientist-III: 45 years.
- Project Scientist-II: 40 years.

Consolidates Emoluments:
- Project Scientist-III: Rs.78,000/- per month.
- Project Scientist-II: Rs.15,600/- to Rs.67,000/- per month.
- Project Scientist-I: Rs.15,600/- to Rs.56,000/- per month.
- Research Associate: Rs.47,000/- per month.
- Senior Research Fellow & Junior Research Fellow: Rs.31,000/- to Rs.35,000/- per month.
